The Northeast Chapter has some very special friends . . .

...friends such as FSG NW Chapter member Chris Hierholzer.  Chris has very generously donated his time and extraordinary talent and has come all the way from Tallahassee to teach at our Deland studio --  not once but twice.  He's even been known to pop in during a 4th Friday to offer a free demo! "Random acts of kindness" such as Chris's really help us pay the rent at our fantastic studio.

. . .friends such as FSG NE Chapter members Tom & Kay Benham.  Tom and Kay understand what it means to share their skills generously.  Both were recipients of 2012 Winter Workshop scholarships.  To show their appreciation, they have donated teaching days to the Chapter.  It is this spirit that enables the chapter to run the small classes you love and still pay the rent.  Think of what we might be able to offer if more of our talented members knew how important their donations of time are to us!

Teach at FSGNE

Even if you're not an experienced teacher, you still have great information, skills and experience to share with other members. We'd sure appreciate it -- and best of all, you will feel good knowing you have helped or inspired another member.

We're always interested in talking about class proposals with volunteers and paid instructors.  You don't have to be a member of FSG to volunteer or to be hired. If you have a proposal for a class, let's discuss how to make it happen.  Our mission is to provide educational opportunities to our members, and our goal is to do exactly that.

Keep in mind that there are no paid positions on our Chapter Board.  We are all volunteers-- arranging classes, answering your email and phone calls, keeping the books, cleaning the studio, maintaining the website, etc. We do it because we believe in the mission -- and it's fun to work together.  Nothing great was ever accomplished without enthusiasm -- Share your enthusiasm with us!
